Gold Silver Coins Prices
I can not understand this problem is an online puzzle, can anyone help me?
Suppose the old silver parts cost $ 97 each, and ancient Gold Coin cost $ 123 each. A coin collector decides to Buy Coins and spent exactly $ 13,579 in total. Let G = number of Gold Coins and cost 123 each Let S = number of Silver Coins and cost 97 each Let N = total number of pieces of S + G = total cost = sum of the number times the cost of each C = G * S * 123 + 97 = 13 579 The only way you can solve this problem is whether there are unique values for G and S. I mean there is only one set of conforming to the equation the total cost would otherwise have multiple solutions. I do not know another way to do it by brute force so I used a table in Excel and simply creates a column with a 1-139 number (which is the last integer value dividing FRO by 97 13 579, with 123 would have saved a bit long but good). This shows that: S = 88 and G = 41 when selling prices have changed. Gold price = 152 awards for A = 119 = G * S * 119 152 + A = 41 * 152 * 119 + 88 = A gain 16 704 = 16704-13579 = 3125 dollars in profits
